Frequently Asked Questions
Got questions? We’ve got answers. Here’s everything you need to know before joining the session.
Do I need any prior coding knowledge to attend?
Not at all! This workshop is designed specifically for beginners. We will start from scratch, explaining what version control is before moving to the commands, so you don’t need any prior experience.
Do I need to bring my laptop?
It is not mandatory, but highly recommended. You are welcome to just watch and learn, but bringing your laptop will allow you to code along with us, set up your profile, and get hands-on practice during the session.
Is there a registration fee?
No, the workshop is completely free for all students. However, seats in the Seminar Hall are limited, so we encourage you to register as soon as possible to secure your spot.
Do I need to install any software beforehand?
It is recommended to have a Git installed and GitHub account created before you arrive to save time. If you face any issues, our volunteers will be there 15 minutes early to help you get setup!
